Morgan Stanley added to financial services providers list
105 financial institutions listed keep improving global OTC derivatives markets.
Morgan Stanley Bank N.A, a wealth management and broker-dealer provider, was added to the Financial Services Providers List (FSP List), according to Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA).
The FSP List is jointly published by the HKMA and Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), which includes global financial supervisors that make structural improvements to the global over the counter (OTC) derivatives.
Institutions listed must belong to a group of companies that appears on either the list of global systemically important banks, or the list of dealer groups which undertook the OTC Derivatives Supervisors Group.
They must also be clearing members of the largest central counterparties offering clearing for interest rate swaps in the United States, Europe, Japan and Hong Kong.
Morgan Stanly Bank N.A. is a wholly owned subsidiary of investment bank Morgan Stanley and listed No.62 of the 105 providers.
The updated FSP list will be gazetted in the fourth quarter of 2025 and implemented on 1 January 2026.
