HK to subsidise 7 Guangdong residential care homes

This increases the number of care homes under the scheme to 11.

The Social Welfare Department has added seven residential care homes in Guangdong to its Residential Care Services Scheme aiming to provide subsidised care for the elderly starting 1 November.

This increases the total number of care homes under the scheme in five Mainland cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to 11.

Five are operated by Mainland organisations whilst the other two are managed through a partnership of Hong Kong organisations and Mainland elderly service operators.
