Goods exports up 5.6% in November

Total export volume to India and Japan posted the most significant increase.

Hong Kong’s total exports rose 5.6% in November as re-exports increased 5.7% and domestic exports dipped 0.9%, according to the Census and Statistics Department. 

The volume of goods imports also rose 6.3%. 

Significant increases were recorded in trade export volume to India and Japan which rose 17.8% and 13% respectively. 

Total export volume to the Mainland and USA also rose 7.2% and 5.2% respectively. 

For imports, significant inflow increases were also registered in import volume from Korea at 16.2%. Import volume from Mainland, Taiwan and Singapore also rose 4.5%, 1.8% and 1% respectively whilst import volume from Japan dipped 0.9%.
