
Gregory So in Japan to promote Hong Kong
Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Gregory So is in Japan for a five day visit to promote Hong Kong.
He intends to boost co-operation with Japan in bilateral trade, tourism and creative industries, and to see the recovery progress following the 2011 earthquake and tsunami.
So will also meet with senior Japanese officials to exchange views on Hong Kong-Japan co-operation and bilateral relationships.
He will deliver keynote speeches at the "Think Global, Think Hong Kong" Symposium in Tokyo and Osaka, and at a dinner organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council in Tokyo.
To learn more about the recovery efforts the Japanese government and people have made following the damage from last year's earthquake and tsunami, So will visit the Sendai Airport and a school in the city, and meet with senior officials of the Miyagi Prefecture and Sendai City Government.
