Foreign currency reserve assets gain US$4.1b
It has reached US$281.7 billion at the end of October.
According to a release, Hong Kong's official foreign currency reserve assets amounted to US$281.7 billion at the end of October - US$4.1 billion more than a month earlier, the Monetary Authority has announced.
Including unsettled forward contracts, Hong Kong's foreign currency reserve assets at the end of October also stood at US$281.7 billion - US$4.1 billion more than a month earlier.
The total foreign currency reserve assets represent about nine times the currency in circulation or 56% of Hong Kong dollar M3.
