16 building plans approved in June

Apartment developments dominated last month’s construction plans.

The Buildings Department has approved a total of 16 building plans in June, according to a government statement.

Apartment and apartment commercial developments dominated the month’s building plans after accounting for nine plans followed by three building plans dedicated for purely commercial developments.

Two plans were for factory and industrial developments and another two was allotted for community service developments.

The department also issued consent to start work on 12 building projects which is expected to provide 128 598 square metres of gross floor area.

Similarly, six demolition consents were issued over the same month.
