Wing Tai Properties narrows H1 net loss to $95.4m
Its London property disposal gains helped lift core profit 64% to $177m.
Wing Tai Properties narrowed its net loss attributable to shareholders to $95.4m in the first half of 2026 from $1.19b a year earlier.
Revenue rose 17.1% year on year to $517.7m from $442m due to higher sales of remaining units at OMA by the Sea.
Core profit attributable to shareholders, which excludes non-cash net valuation losses and impairment provisions, increased 63.9% to $177m from $108m.
The group attributed the improvement to a $104m increase in gains from the disposal of investment properties in London and a $27m reduction in losses from the hospitality investment and management segment.
However, these were offset by a $40m decline in profit from the property investment and management segment and a $10m decrease in profit from the others segment.
The group sold two commercial properties in London's West End for a combined $604m during the period, generating an aggregate disposal gain of $142m.
By business segment, property development revenue rose to $173m from $90m, whilst property investment and management revenue fell to $242m from $264m.
Hospitality investment and management revenue rose to $86m from $67m, whilst revenue from the group’s other activities fell to $17m from $21m.
The board declared an interim dividend of 3 cents per share, amounting to $41m.
