HK Express launches new route to Sendai, Japan

It has increased weekly flights to nearly 170 flights to and from Hong Kong.

HK Express Airways (HK Express) launched its new route between Hong Kong and Sendai Airport, with four weekly direct flights to Sendai, Japan.

“With the launch of the Sendai route, we’ve increased our weekly flights between Hong Kong and Japan to nearly 170 flights to and from Hong Kong, respectively,” said Jeanette Mao, CEO of HK Express.

“The central government has recently introduced a visa exemption policy for Japanese travellers, and Japan has announced that it will ease visa restrictions for Chinese citizens,” Mao added.

She also mentioned that Cathay Group is expected to operate passenger services to 100 global destinations this year.
