Uber launches Uber for Teens and UberXXL in HK

Uber for Teens will be available starting 27 November.

Uber has introduced two new ride options in Hong Kong—Uber for Teens, for families with teenagers and UberXXL, for larger groups who need extra comfort and space.

Teenagers between 13 and 17 years old can now register and book rides under the authorisation of their guardians. Requests will only be accepted by highly-rated, experienced drivers.

All rides are protected by a series of in-app safety features including PIN verification, live trip tracking, and RideCheck, which are always turned on in the guardian’s mobile phone.

Meanwhile, UberXXL offers larger vehicles with extra legroom for groups of up to six people, and an additional space for four to five large suitcases.
