Public vote for HK's quality taxi drivers opens

The public can vote online or by scanning the QR code on promotional materials until 31 May.

The Taxi Service Commendation Scheme 2024 is now open for public voting until 31 May, the Transport Department said.

The public can vote online or by scanning the QR code printed on the scheme’s promotional materials for the ‘Quality Taxi Drivers’ and ‘Good Driver, Good Service’ awards.

A professional assessment panel will also evaluate the nominees' driving records, conduct, in-service training records, commended behaviour, and passengers’ satisfaction levels.

Twenty nominees for the ‘Quality Taxi Drivers’ and two nominees for the ‘Good Driver, Good Service’ with the highest combined scores from the public vote and professional assessment will win.

The department said this year’s scheme received a record-high of over 1,400 nominations. Amongst them, 70 nominees for the ‘Quality Taxi Drivers’ and six for the ‘Good Driver, Good Service’ were shortlisted for public voting.
