Official taxi fleet licences to be issued
Five taxi fleet drivers can access 80 sites after receiving licences in July.
Five taxi operators conducting trial operations will be given official Taxi Fleet Licences in July, said the Transport Department on 27 June.
With the official licence, the five fleets can pick up pre-booked passengers at around 80 designated taxi fleet sites in 13 locations, including the airport, cross-boundary control points, and tourist hotspots.
The five fleets have provided nearly 120,000 trips since being granted provisional licences in July 2024.
Drivers would have more stable income after being given official licences and will attract more drivers to join the fleets, said the Transport Department.
