CK Hutchison mulls spin-off of telecom business

There is no guarantee that any transaction will take place.

CK Hutchison Holdings Limited is evaluating a potential spin-off listing of its global telecommunication assets and businesses.

In a bourse filing, the group said it has noted certain media reports relating to the spin-off but has not made any decision yet.

The group also stated that it regularly explores and evaluates opportunities that may enhance long-term value for shareholders.

Meanwhile, the company advised shareholders and potential investors that there is no certainty any transaction will occur and urged them to exercise caution when dealing in the company’s shares and/or other securities.
