Vessel registration to end 14 June

3,700 applications have been submitted to date.

According to a report, the Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Department urges eligible local fishing vessel owners who have not yet registered their vessels to apply by the June 14 deadline.

Only registered fishing vessels are allowed to engage in fishing within Hong Kong waters.

Owners must submit their completed forms together with other required documents in person or by proxy on or before June 14.

The department has received about 3,700 applications for registration so far.
