Loyalty programmes are more popular with Gen Zs and Millennials

The lowest interest is from Baby Boomers.

More than seven in 10 Hong Kongers are enthusiasts of loyalty programmes when they shop, with Gen Zs (74%) and Millennials (74%) being the most popular to use them.

A YouGov survey also showed that the loyalty programmes are popular with 70% of Gen X Hong Kongers. However, it is low among Baby Boomers (66%).

“Consumers in Hong Kong who are loyalty program enthusiasts are also more likely to agree that posters/billboards help them discover new products and services, compared to the general population,” read the report.

“They are also more likely than the general population to patronise brands whose advertisements express views they agree with,” read the statement.
