Government to resume 1,045 private lots for Ngau Tam Mei NDA
Site formation and infrastructure works will begin in the first half of 2027.
The Lands Department (LandsD) has posted notices to resume 1,043 private lots covering about 62 hectares for the first batch of the Ngau Tam Mei New Development Area (NTM NDA) development.
The government will also acquire about 450 square metres (sq m) of land occupied by 23 graves and 22 urns, as well as about 2,700 sq m of land with 27 fishponds.
The land will revert to and vest in the government on 16 January 2027, with affected households and businesses expected to move out in batches from the second quarter of 2027 at the earliest.
LandsD will post notices about three months before the applicable departure deadline.
The NTM NDA is the fifth NDA to begin development in the Northern Metropolis. It will be developed in conjunction with the San Tin Technopole to establish the San Tin University Town.
The site will include a campus area of about 52 hectares, with about five hectares reserved for the construction of the third medical school.
Site formation and infrastructure works will commence in the first half of 2027, whilst spade-ready sites will be available progressively from the end of 2028.
