Building and home sales slip 8.1% to 7,706
The total sales value of these transactions dropped 14% to $46.8 billion in July.
The Land Registry recorded 7,706 sale and purchase agreements in July, down 8.1% on June, but up 5.7% year-on-year. The total sales value of these transactions came to $46.8 billion, 14.1% lower than June but 10.5% higher year-on-year.
More than 5,700 were for residential units, down 3% on June but up 8.7% year-on-year., with a total value of $31.8 billion, 6.7% down on June but 0.003% up on July last year.
The 12-month moving average for July was 7,809, which was 0.4% above that for June but 36.8% below that for July last year.The public made 413,097 land-register searches in July.
