Hong Kong approves 34 building plans in January

A total of 34 building plans were approved by the Buildings Deaprtment in the past month.

Out of these, 22 were for apartment and apartment/commercial developments, six were for commercial developments, four were for factory and industrial developments, and two were for community services developments.

Thirteen will be located in Hong Kong Island, 11 in Kowloon and 10 in the New Territories.

In the same month, consent was given for work to start on 13 building projects that, when completed, will provide 36,515 square metres of gross floor area for domestic use, involving 284 units, and 66,146 square metres of gross floor area for non-domestic use.

The department has received notification of commencement of work for 16 building projects.
