SIIC Environment transfers controlling stake

Golden Bell International to hold 50.12% stake while government keeps control.

SIIC Environment Holdings Ltd. announced a proposed internal reorganisation that will change the registered ownership of its controlling shareholder, Shanghai Industrial Investment (Holdings) Co. Ltd. (SIIC).

In a voluntary filing on 14 October 2025, the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government proposed transferring SIIC’s ownership to Golden Bell International Holdings Ltd., wholly owned by SIIC Shanghai (Holdings) Co. Ltd. Both companies are fully state-owned, maintaining government control. After the transfer, Golden Bell would indirectly hold 50.12% of SIIC Environment’s issued shares.

The board confirmed management, operations, and control will remain unchanged and advised shareholders that trading volumes may be affected during the reorganisation.

The transfer is part of ongoing Shanghai state-owned enterprise restructuring. SIIC Environment is dual-listed on the Singapore Exchange (SGX) and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX).

The company will issue further announcements once the reorganisation is complete or as required under listing rules, providing investors with timely updates on shareholding changes.
