Warning out on bogus emails

Police already tapped to investigate.

According to a report, the Inland Revenue Department has issued an alert on fraudulent emails from accounts similar to [email protected].

The department says it has no connection with the messages, which have attachments containing computer viruses with names such as "Form_ird.gov.hk.zip", "File_2183065.zip", or "File_4730881.zip".

The case has been reported to Police for further investigation.
