Neway Group workers on strike

Involved are approximately 400 out of 2,100 workers in Shenzhen.

The board of directors of Neway Group Holdings Limited announced that workers of one of the Group’s printing factories in Long Gang District, Shenzhen, the People’s Republic of China are on strike.

As a result, most part of the production of the said factory has been temporarily affected. The incident started on 10 January 2013.

“The management of the Group believes that the incident was originated from the recent restructuring of the factory. The management of the Group is actively resolving this incident, including having meetings with the labour union, local administrative bureau, labour bureau, lawyers and polices with a aim to settle the incident as soon as possible and reduce the loss to the Group,” said the company in a statement.

The management is assessing the impact on the operation of the Group as a result of the strike.
