Linklaters advises HSBC’s $1bn digitally native notes due 2025

The notes are the first digitally native notes listed on HKEX.

Linklaters advises HSBC’s $1bn digitally native notes (DNNs) at a fixed rate of 3.6% per annum due 2025.

The notes were issued under the US$20bn Medium Term Note Programme. 

The DNNs are the first digitally native notes listed on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (HKEX) by a HKSAR corporation.

The one-year Hong Kong dollar-denominated DNNs were issued in dematerialised registered form and cleared through the Central Moneymarkets Unit (CMU) of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA).
