The investigation was revealed in a writ filed against the commission in Hong Kong High Court.
According to a Bloomberg report, the Securities and Futures Commission obtained warrants to search Real Gold’s premises in July and now the company is saying the regulator may have obtained files protected by lawyer-client privilege.
Real Gold is under investigation due to corporate governance breaches.
