With the implementation of 'Go Global' strategy, Mainland enterprises face challenges including capital-raising, network expansion, the acquisition of international best practices and enhancement of their innovation and technology."
"Hong Kong is a world-class financial, trade and shipping centre and boasts a strong professional service sector. It has Asia's third largest stock market and offers diversified financing channels and products. More than 600 Mainland companies are listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. In seeking to develop their overseas markets, they may also leverage on Hong Kong's advantages in marketing and branding, its international networks, high-tech infrastructure and pool of qualified professionals to further improve their competitiveness."
Miss Tang also said that Hong Kong's business-friendly environment is also very attractive to Mainland investors with its low and simple tax regime, free flow of goods and information, no exchange controls and a robust regulatory regime. She said that the strong pool of talent in Hong Kong with international perspectives and professional knowledge in the financial, legal and accounting services can provide companies with the support they require to help them build up their international operations.
