LSCM, HKIB develop logistics platform for CGT manufacturing

The system can digitise up to 750 pages of documents per clinical case.

The Logistics and Supply Chain MultiTech R&D Centre and Hong Kong Institute of Biotechnology have partnered to develop a digital supply chain logistics management platform for good manufacturing practice operations in cell and gene therapy.

The platform automates and digitises processes involved in Advanced Therapy Product (ATP) manufacturing, digitising up to 750 pages of documents per clinical case.

Moreover, it includes machine translation tools for ATP documents between Chinese and English and features real-time updating, scheduling, and logistics functions to improve coordination of manufacturing processes.

The platform also uses cloud technologies to ensure data immutability and protection against unauthorised access.
