CTF Life unveils Hong Kong’s first BNP Paribas-linked indexed universal life policy
It offers uncapped index-linked returns and dual-account structure.
Chow Tai Fook Life Insurance Company Limited (CTF Life) said it launched Hong Kong’s first indexed universal life (IUL) insurance plan linked to BNP Paribas’ indices, offering no cap on crediting interest across index options and allowing multiple ways to allocate premiums.
The Shiny Treasure Indexed Universal Life Insurance Plan is aimed at professional investors and is linked to BNP Paribas’ indices for the first time in Hong Kong’s IUL market, alongside another global index.
It uses a fixed account and an index account so customers can split premiums between steadier returns and market-linked growth.
CTF Life said the plan offers uncapped potential returns from index-linked accounts, plus a guaranteed interest rate and a Cumulative Guaranteed Value that provides basic protection under certain conditions.
Betty Lee, chief product officer at CTF Life, said the product is designed to combine long-term investment growth with risk management, whilst giving customers flexibility to adjust their mix as market conditions change.
The plan tracks global equity and multi-asset indices and includes built-in risk controls to help reduce volatility.
It also offers tools such as rebalancing, dollar-cost averaging, and maturity options for different investment segments.
Other features include premium holidays, withdrawal options, a refund of premium charge, and legacy planning tools such as changing the insured, policy continuation and policy split options.
