Razer net profit up $243.66m for H1 2021

The value is an increase compared to last year’s net loss of $24m (US$17.7).

Razer announced in a press release today a net profit of HK$243.66m (approximately US$31.3m) for the first half of 2021. The recorded value is more than last year’s net loss of HK$137.79m (US$17.7m).

Meanwhile, its revenue hit a record-high with a 68% increase year-on-year at HK$5.85b (US$752m). The company credits this growth to robust demand, market share leadership for the hardware business, and ongoing growth in the services segment.

Razer’s service business grew as well from 13.8% to HK$566.72m (US$72.8m).

Razer has also kept its position as the leading manufacturer for gaming peripherals across the US, Europe, and Asia Pacific, and the gaming laptop segment.

Razer Co-Founder and CEO Min-Liang Tan expressed the company's intention to reinvest part of its full-year profits into Razer Gold and Razer Fintech, and generally in new growth opportunities in the Razer ecosystem. "We believe these strategic investments will allow us to build a greater platform for Razer to achieve long-term growth ambitions and deliver outstanding value to shareholders," he said.
