HKPC signs MoU with ZWIE to promote technology education in Greater Bay Area
The initiative aims to strengthen GBA’s I&T talent pool.
HKPC Academy and Zhongshan Whampoa International Education (ZWIE) have signed a memorandum of understanding to advance the growth of technology education in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).
In a statement, the parties said Chinese cultural education will be incorporated into the seminars and exhibitions. This aims to foster enthusiasm among young people in the GBA for innovation and technology (I&T) whilst enhancing their knowledge about the fusion between traditional culture and technological advancements.
“Leveraging ZWIE's strong educational network in the GBA, HKPC will disseminate professional knowledge in innovation and technology throughout the entire region, contributing to the cultivation of more I&T talent for the nation,” the statement read.
Training for students and teachers will cover topics such as aerospace technology, robotics, 3D printing, programming, and virtual reality technology. Education technology will also be introduced to educators to enhance their digital literacy.

“With ZWIE 's extensive network in the GBA's education sector and HKPC's years of training experience and strong scientific research capabilities, I believe we can create more opportunities for students in both regions to engage in I&T,” HKPC Chief Innovation Officer Lawrence Cheung said.
“We believe that through the strong alliance between the two parties, we will be able to promote the development of TechEd in the Greater Bay Area, and nurture more innovative and practical talent for the new era,” ZWIE Chairman Haifeng Huang said.
