William Lee joins Harneys Hong Kong corporate practice as firm expands partner ranks
He will advise on M&A and capital markets transactions.
William Lee has been named a corporate partner at Harneys’ Hong Kong office, where he will advise on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, restructurings, and capital markets deals, including SPAC and de-SPAC activity.
He is amongst several partner hires in the first quarter of 2026, including Wei Lee Lim in Singapore, Esmond Brown in the Cayman Islands, Katrina Edge in Jersey, and Sabrina Devenish in Dubai.
His clients include private equity and venture capital firms, publicly listed companies in Hong Kong and the United States, large private corporates, and family offices, according to a press release.
Prior to joining Harneys, he served as a partner in the corporate team of another offshore law firm in Hong Kong and previously worked in corporate teams at Mishcon de Reya and Collyer Bristow in London.
Paul Sephton, Hong Kong managing partner at Harneys, said Lee’s experience in cross-border corporate transactions and his relationships across private equity, venture capital, and listed company sectors strengthen the firm’s corporate offering.
