Microsoft, Education Bureau join hands to advance AI education in HK

Amongst Microsoft’s efforts is to make Generative AI accessible to K-12 schools in the city.

Hong Kong’s Education Bureau and Microsoft Hong Kong will launch a programme that will equip schools and teachers with the necessary tools and knowledge to effectively prepare students for the future.

Through the “Partners in Learning (PiL) Program 5.0,”  Hong Kong will be able to enhance modern learning and teaching models, promote a blended learning model, and support Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) education.

Microsoft, meanwhile, has also been working with different partners and associations to make Generative AI accessible to K-12 schools in Hong Kong.

"We are excited to launch the fifth PiL program with the EDB to benefit K-12 schools in Hong Kong. With the local AI education initiatives in place, we will provide support to local schools to prepare their students to complete their AI learning journeys," said Cally CHAN, general manager of Microsoft Hong Kong and Macau.
