Labour Dep’t announces enhancement programme for school leavers
Around 14,000 people are expected to participate.
The government announced the conduct of Career Let’s Go from May to August that aims to enhance employability of secondary school leavers.
According to the Labour Department, “the programme aims to help school leavers obtain the latest employment information, plan for their careers and enhance their employability through diversified pre-employment training and employment activities.”
The event is expected to attract 14,000 participants.

Secondary school leavers can also check the Career Let’s Go website for job vacancies and possibly submit applications.
This site also provides details on job fairs organised by the department, including recruitment days under the Youth Employment & Training Programme (YETP), recruitment days held at the department’s job centres and industry-based recruitment centres, and large-scale job fairs.
According to the Labour Department, the Happy@Work programme, a series of practical training courses, will also be held at the Youth Employment Start centres in Mong Kok and Kwai Fong to help school leavers in terms of interview skills and work ethic. They can also access career consultations and assessments as part of the programme.
The programme is free of charge, with no limits on number of participants.
