Work subsidy scheme also open to individual applicants starting July

Income and asset limits were also raised.

According to a report, starting from this month, the Work Incentive Transport Subsidy Scheme is also open for individual applications from eligible persons.

The Labour Department said the scheme provides the option of individual application as an alternative to household application from the claim months of 2013. The income and asset limits have also been raised in parallel.

Since applicants may claim the subsidy for the previous six to 12 months in each application, individual-based applicants may now apply for the subsidy for the claim months of January to June 2013, or apply later for a longer period of subsidy not exceeding the previous 12 months.
