Job-hunters to feast on 2,600 vacancies at Lai Kok fair

It is open from 7-8 November.

According to a report, the Labour Department will hold a job fair at Lai Kok Community Hall in Cheung Sha Wan on November 7 and 8 from 11am to 5.30pm, offering about 2,600 vacancies.

Forty organisations, mainly retail, catering, transport and property management companies, will participate. Twenty of them will set up counters and hold daily on-the-spot recruitment.

Jobs on offer include IT technical support, beauty advisor, clerk, salesperson, cashier, shop assistant, cook, waiter/waitress, security guard, driver, storekeeper and others. Job seekers can find more information on the department's website.

About 80% of the vacancies are full-time jobs, and most offer monthly salaries ranging from $7,000 to $13,000. More than 94% of the vacancies require no education higher than secondary six, and about half are open to job seekers with no relevant experience.
