Employees Retraining Board to increase training places to 130,000

The Government has also launched a manpower study to be completed by the end of 2011.

The study will look into Hong Kong's future manpower supply and requirements, as well as the manpower balance by education level, according to a news.gov.hk report.

The report added that the Vocational Training Council also conducts manpower surveys on a regular basis to provide short-term projections on the manpower requirements for specific sectors.
