Cross-strait arts expo rolls out

Works by 16 artists showcased.

According to a report, an exhibition showcasing works by 16 artists from the Mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau opened at City Hall today.

Launched in 2008 and now in its fifth edition, the cultural exchange programme is organised with the aim of fostering closer ties among the regions in the realm of contemporary art.

Under Secretary for Home Affairs Florence Hui officiated at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, entitled "Crossroads•Another Dimension - A Cross-Strait Four Regions Artistic Exchange Project 2013".

The touring exhibition was presented in the Mainland, Taiwan and Macau last year, and Hong Kong is its final stop, running until February 13.

The exhibition features paintings, art/video/sound/visual installations and new media works by artists from the four regions.
