Travel agency's council membership suspended

3A Holidays Company was allegedly malpracticing.

According to a release, the Tourism Commission says the Government respects the Travel Industry Council's decision to suspend the membership of the 3A Holidays Company.

It issued the statement today, saying the Travel Agents Registry is monitoring the development of the case, and if necessary, will exercise the power conferred to the registrar under the Travel Agents Ordinance, such as summoning the person responsible for the travel agent.

It said any action by the Government will uphold public interests and safeguard the rights and interests of tourists.

It said the Government will not tolerate infringements of the rights and interests of tourists, and will not appease malpracticing travel agents.
