Prince of Wales Hospital gains accreditation under China's int'l standards

This follows Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital, the first accredited facility.

Prince of Wales Hospital (PWH) has become the second hospital in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to be accredited under China’s International Hospital Accreditation Standards (2021 Version).

Secretary for Health Prof Lo Chung-mau said PWH follows Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital, the first to receive the accreditation in December last year.

He added that this development reflects the alignment of Hong Kong’s public hospital management, services, and medical quality with international standards.

The ceremony was attended by Lo, along with Chen Qing, a member of the CPC Shenzhen Standing Committee and the Shenzhen Party Leadership Group, and his delegation.
