Govt signs pact to promote innovation of Chinese medicines

The partnership will utilise talent and technical exchanges.

The Department of Health and the National Institutes for Food & Drug Control (NIFDC) has inked a co-operation agreement on Research of Chinese Medicines Standards and on Chinese Medicines Herbarium.

This partnership aims to strengthen talent and knowledge exchanges promoting the innovation of Chinese medicines.

Under the agreement, the parties will work on technical exchanges in developing standards for Chinese Materia Medica (CMM), the establishment of collaborative mechanisms for Chinese medicines specimens, and talent and academic exchanges.
