AusMed and Merck collaborate on global diabetes care advancement

The partnership will streamline AusMed’s non-invasive breath ketone management system.

AusMed Global and Merck have partnered to expand access to top non-invasive diabetes management solutions globally and advance diabetes and obesity care.

Under the partnership, AusMed will streamline its KetoMetrics, a non-invasive breath ketone management system that uses photonic sensing technology to measure breath acetone.

This technology provides a painless alternative to blood tests and, like blood prick tests, minimizes contamination with its "one test, one kit" approach. The KetoMetrics also uses single-use breath samplers which enhances the hygiene of each test.
