More incentives await Hong Kongers as firms join vaccine campaign

Fully vaccinated residents get a chance to win up to $10,000 vouchers or small appliances.

The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited (Towngas) and Link Real Estate Investment Trust (Link REIT) have joined companies in granting incentives to fully vaccinated Hong Kong residents.

Following Henderson Land Group, Towngas will be launching a vaccination promotion campaign worth $3m, bringing the total prizes extended by the group to $10m.

Towngas will be hosting a raffle that could give 50 winners $10,000 worth of shopping vouchers and 2,500 winners of $1,000 vouchers.

The raffle will be held in 5 sessions between August and September 2021.

Similarly, LINK announced that it will be holding a lucky draw for Hong Kong residents who have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine.

LINK will be extending $2m prizes, including 400 dining vouchers in Chinese restaurants, worth $5,000 each and small appliances.

Registration will begin in early September, whilst the luck draw will be held at the end of October.

Amongst the companies that have offered incentives for vaccination include Swire Properties, which extended $8m worth of vouchers for Hong Kong residents and its employees.

This is in line with the government’s efforts to speed up the vaccination rate in the city. Earlier, the Hong Kong government also moved to grant two-day vaccination leave to government workers, which the private sector also followed.
