Deliveroo reveals office workers' most ordered meals

Deliveroo for Work (DfW), the corporate ordering service of Deliveroo, has revealed office food preferences and business trends in ordering food, with coffee remaining as the fuel of the corporate world.
The most popular breakfast choices are a chicken wrap by Knead, a corn beef, cheese, and egg toast by Mrs Tang Cafe, or a cup of nice coffee.
Lunchtime sees a shift towards more vibrant flavours with top picks like teriyaki chicken bento by Bliss Bento and sushi by Genki Sushi.
Health-conscious choices like chicken breast by Protein Matters highlight a growing awareness of protein and healthy eating amongst professionals.
As the workday winds down, employees turn to orange juice and the taste of spicy tuna and salmon rice bowls and sushi platters by Sen-ryo.
In 2024, growth is seen in the technology and telecommunications sectors, with order volumes on DfW soaring by over 30%. This reflected the sectors’ expansion marked by increasing headcounts and a strong focus on hiring in Hong Kong.
To attract and retain top talent, companies are not only expanding their teams but also enhancing employee benefits with initiatives such as offering office lunches and organising regular company-wide events.
Notably, a surge in corporate orders of Chinese cuisine was observed during special cultural moments, particularly during the weeks of the Mid-Autumn Festival and Chinese New Year. Teams celebrated these occasions with traditional dishes, either before or after the public holidays.
Over the past year, businesses have also continued to turn to Deliveroo Hop, which is located in business areas such as Central, Kwun Tong, and Tsim Sha Tsui, to keep their office pantries stocked with healthy snacks.
