American Express appoints Yat-Chung Koh as President of its consumer card business in Asia
Prior to this appointment, Koh ran the American Express’ consumer card businesses in Greater China and Southeast Asia markets.
American Express International, Inc. announced the promotion of Mr. Yat-Chung Koh to the position of President, Asia, leading the International Consumer and Small Business Services in Greater China, Southeast Asia and Japan. In this newly created role, Mr. Koh will lead business initiatives and provide strategic development direction for the consumer card business in Greater China, Singapore, Thailand and Japan. He will remain based in Hong Kong.
Mr. Koh has a wealth of experience in creating innovative solutions to meet the increasingly sophisticated needs of American Express affluent card base. Prior to this appointment, Koh ran the American Express’ consumer card businesses in Greater China and Southeast Asia markets where under his leadership, card billings and revenue have continually registered double-digit growth. Mr. Koh has also championed the launch of a number of very successful Cardmember programs with enhanced customer engagement and experience.
Since joining American Express in 1989, Mr. Koh has held a number of leadership positions across nearly all lines of businesses within American Express, including Consumer Card, Corporate Card, Global Network and Establishment Services, Travel Services, Travelers Cheques and Prepaid Services, Human Resources and Administration.
Mr. Koh holds a Masters degree in Business Administration in the United States and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and Statistics from the University of Singapore.
