New tax portals launched

This allows tax matters to be handled electronically.

Three new tax portals for individuals, businesses, and tax representatives were launched on Tuesday, the Inland Revenue Department said.

The Individual Tax Portal allows individuals to access tax services such as tax return filing, personal particulars updates, and viewing of tax positions. The portal is also available on "eTAX" app.

The Business Tax Portal is specifically designed for businesses to handle tax matters such as business registration and obligation compliance.

As for the Tax Representative Portal, it caters to tax service agents like tax representatives, company secretaries to assist them in managing their clients' tax matters.

Profiles of existing eTAX users were transferred to the Individual Tax Portal, where they can use their registered information to log in.

The department also encourages businesses and service agents to open an eTAX account to handle tax matters electronically via the other two portals, as it is a safe, convenient, and environmentally friendly way.
