HKUST launches new GenAI platform for financial services

The platform aims to help local financial institutions leverage AI technologies.

HKUST Business School launched the InvestLM Generative AI Platform to support the local financial services industry, particularly small-to-medium financial institutions, in leveraging the potential of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) technologies.

The InvestLM model will be available to banks through the GenA.I. Sandbox, is a joint initiative of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) and Cyberport.

The sandbox will offer a risk-managed framework for banks to pilot novel GenAI use cases, along with technical resources and targeted supervisory feedback, enabling banks to explore additional opportunities to test or further fine-tune the InvestLM model.
