Hong Kong honors outstanding citizens

Awards 337 people in this year's Honors List.

Four people received the Grand Bauhinia Medal: Permanent Judge of the Court of Appeal Patrick Chan Siu-oi; Non-Permanent Judge of the Court of Appeal Sir Anthony Mason; President of Hong Kong Buddhist Association the Most Venerable Kok Kwong and Basic Law Committee member Maria Tam Wai-chu.

Nine people received the Gold Bauhinia Star, 23 the Silver Bauhinia Star, seven the Distinguished Service Medals for the disciplined services and the Independent Commission Against Corruption and 56 the Bronze Bauhinia Star.

Forty-five people were awarded Meritorious Service Medals for the disciplined services and the ICAC, 73 the Medal of Honor, and 51 the Chief Executive's Commendation for Community Service.

Sixty-nine people received the Chief Executive's Commendation for Government/Public Service. The presentation ceremony will be held in October.
