Hong Kong hits record 1.44 million local companies in H1

A total of 324 licenses were given out to trust or company service providers.

Hong Kong has logged 66,734 newly registered local companies in the first six months of 2024, according to data from the Companies Registry.

This brings the total number of registered local companies to 1,440,935– an all-time high.

A total of 324 licenses were granted for trust or company service providers. There are now 6,974 licensees up to mid-2024.

The registry carried out over 2.5 million searches of document image records during the period. Over 1.52 million documents were delivered to the registry for registration.
