Hong Kong builds better business ties with Peru

Hong Kong pushes its renminbi business during the visit of a high-ranking Peruvian Minister.

Financial Secretary John Tsang met Peruvian Minister of Economy & Finance Luis Miguel Castilla to boost business ties between Hong Kong and Peru. Castilla is leading a delegation of Peruvian officials and business leaders to visit Hong Kong.

Tsang outlined Hong Kong's renminbi business, infrastructure development, and economic situation. He said Hong Kong is a prime global business centre with extensive connections with the Mainland market.

"With a strong presence in Asia, our business services sector will be an invaluable partner for Peruvian companies in the Asian time zone when they seek to capitalise on the shift of international economic gravity from the West to the East."
