Hong Kong’s development boss visiting Qianhai and Guangdong

Secretary for Development Paul Chan is on a two-day visit starting yesterday to both locations.

He visited Guangdong yesterday to learn about the latest planning and development and the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government to discuss Hong Kong-Shenzhen boundary districts' development.

He visited the Qianhai Cooperation Zone Authority at the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone.and inspected the Qianhai Cooperation Zone site.

He will also visit the province’s Department of Water Resources to learn about Dongjiang water supplied to Hong Kong and its water-resources planning.

Today, Chan will call on the People's Government of Guangdong Province’s Hong Kong & Macau Affairs Office and the Guangdong Provincial Department of Housing & Urban-rural Development.

He will discuss strengthening communication and collaboration in planning and development with Guangdong officials, and the Mainland & Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement pilot schemes the province is implementing.
