HK’s foreign currency reserve declines by 1.52% MoM in July
It represents over five times the currency in circulation.
Hong Kong’s foreign currency reserve assets dipped by 1.52% month on month to $3.3t (US$425.4b) in July, as compared to June’s $3.4t (US$432b).
Including unsettled foreign exchange contracts, foreign currency reserves during the period amounted to $3.3t (US$424.5b).
It represents over five times the currency in circulation or about 37% of the Hong Kong dollar M3 money supply.
