
HK earns $17.2 bln surplus from taxes
Expenditure for the eight-month period amounted to $195.7 billion with revenue of $212.9 billion.
According to Hong Kong's Information Services Department, the Financial Services and the Treasury Bereau said that the fiscal reserves stood at $537.5 billion.
Monthly expenditure was $22.9 billion, and revenue was $44.4 billion, resulting n a $21.5 billion surplus.
The surplus was mainly due to the collection of profits tax.
