HK delegates visit Spain’s innovation organisation

Spain Startup said it is actively considering organising an Asian version of its summit.

Financial Secretary Paul Chan visited Spain Startup in Madrid along with Hong Kong tech startups.

Chan said Hong Kong welcomes the event to attract startups and investors from the mainland, particularly the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, as well as the broader Asian region.

Spain Startup is reportedly considering organising an Asian version of the South Summit, which brings startups, tech talents, and investors from around the world together.

Through various programmes, it offers startups opportunities to build global networks, exchange knowledge, and connect with investors.

Also joining the delegation were Albert Wong, CEO of the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation; and Eric Chan, the Chief Public Mission Officer of Cyberport.
